Danny does it again
Its Danny Elfman. If I have to say more than that, you dont "get" it. Friday, June 18th, 2010

Amazing score
Danny Elfman at his best. 4-5 star.
Only complaint is the part where they chant "Alice! Alice! Alice!"... it gets stuck in your head and you find yourself chanting it at odd times, and then people look at you. I wish that one part was a little subtler.
Great song though.

It's rare that I ever buy a composed song
It's rare that I ever buy a composed song and though its a theme for Alice in wonderland,Its candy to the ear.I work at a cinema and even though I've heard the song 100 times I had to own it.never gets old Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Sad.
Igor Stravinsky was reported to have said, "Good composer borrow (ideas from other composers), great composers steal."
With that in mind I have to say that Danny Elfman has creatively dried up. Elfman isn't even cannibalizing himself anymore...he is incorporating the style of Hans Zimmer and the like, which is sad because Zimmer is growing so much as a composer-only to have a "once great" ride his coattails.
Elfman's work is going down the same rabbit hole as Tim Burton: nothing fresh, nothing new-those who they've inspired are doing a much better job.
