Battle Studies

Purchased the last album Continuum based on his performance at 2007 Crossroads in Chicago. His live rendition of "Gravity" blew me away. Battle Studies traces his growing up from media brat to more mature - both personally and musically. Very rich writing and playing. I just can't get enough. A guitar and rock masterpiece.

Not a John Mayer fan at all. To me, most his songs are depressing and all sound the same. I turn the radio whenever he comes on. I had a friend give me a copy of this cd and right from the start, I was amazed. I really like this and have not taken it out of my cd player in my car or work for the last week. I guess this is rated lower than his previous work, which leads me to believe if you don't care for him, buy this. I think all the songs are strong and there is not a filler on here. Very impressive. Nice job.

this thing suck i mean c'mon you need to put some metal or something into it because it sucks

I will not compare this with the others. Let's just say it takes me to that special place where good music always can. I've been a fan of his from "Room for Squares" and his talent is evident in this project as well. I recommend this for all the John Mayer fans.

I love this CD! Much better than Continuum in my opinion. Mayer always finds a way to touch a personal chord for me.
