L.Morgan cd's
Being a fan of Lorrie's for years (through the love of her Dad's music since I was a kid) Whatever Lorrie sings-- it's terrific. Love her voice, especially when they dub over with her Dad and Keith Whitely's voice. She's awsome with Sammy's voice too. I just love Heart & Soul Country Music. Thursday, July 29th, 2010

Lorrie Is Back
With "a moment in time" Lorrie Morgan has returned to the recording scene with a gem. She's been absent from the music store shelves for several years and I've missed hearing new material from her smooth, sweet voice. While "a moment in time" doesn't contain any new songs, it is filled with pure classics like "Cry", "Are You Lonesome Tonight?", and "Leavin' On Your Mind" that Lorrie lends her interpretation and special voice to. Every song on the album is a joy to hear. I hope that we will hear more great material like this from her in the future.

Great covers of famous songs
I got to know Lorrie on the Beach Boys DVD called The Nashville Sound
where she interpreted one of the best BB songs ever (Don't Worry Baby).
That was in 1996 and since that wonderful discovery I'm collecting everything she has recorded eversince + what she had done before including some great songs from the mid 80's only available on DVD country compilations from those days.
This particular CD of hers shows us her different voice ranges from high to quite low and sounds like a mixture of Patsy Cline and Tammy Wynette, the two authentic queens of C&W for the past 50 years. Patsy's Leavin' On Your Mind and Tammy's 'Til I Get It Right are certainly the highlights but the rest of the covers are breathtakin' as well thanks to the wonderful back-up music.
Her duet with another of my favorate singers, Raul Malo, is already worth
having this CD. Add to that covers of Elvis, Brenda Lee, Glen Campbell,
Jeannie Seely, Faron Young among others and you'll agree with me that this record is a must for country music lovers.

country at it's best
Great CD. I loved it. Lorrie's new hit "Have you got leavin on your mind" is fantastic. Maybe her best song ever. Saturday, February 20th, 2010
