Simply one of my faverites
Loreena Mckennitt's music is wonderful . I first heard this cd on an audio tape a friend sent me because of The Highwayman being on it . I listened to it and went out and bought the cd . Her music is pure magic .

Book of Secrets
Great music, and great speedy delivery of CD. Marco Polo is great for Middle East Dance, other pieces are great to listen to.

The Book of Secrets
This CD is very easy to listen to with not only a Celtic flavor but also a middle eastern flavor. I like it very much.

Little goes a long way
This is a pretty overrated album. The singer is OK, and so is the material if taken in small enough doses. Taken full strength it is dull, depressing celtic elevator music. If you must buy it, put it in your mp3 collection and 'shuffle' it in with some better music (Miriam Stockley, Grey Eye Glances, Porcupine Tree, Jethro Tull jump to mind) and it will provide a semi-nice mix, but taken on it's own it bombs. Better yet, pass on this one.

A journey to Persia ....
This particular album is more of a 'journey' rather than a story (in my opinion).

All of the music is enchanting and brilliantly crafted -(as is to be expected of Loreena)-

but this album gave me the feeling of traveling in a troop from Persia to Britain.

Spanish influences mingled with Celtic string, Persian percussion and Mediterranean horns.

Sounds deeelish doesn't it !!! Well .... I guarantee you it is.

Truly all you need to travel back in time is this album, a comfy chair and solitude.

** And as for the negative reviews, all I've got to say about that is - I am SO glad I

didn't take your word for it. !!
