Great stuff from FM
Having purchased Behind the Green Door and seen them live for the first time back in 97 when I was 29 - I'm now one of the older FM fans. I've seen them in a variety of venues around the world and across the U.S...and dined with Dave at a Denny's at 3am with his former wife and one thing is for sure - Dave and company are always entertaining! Yes, I said Dave King and company because, let's face it, it's his band - and this group started as the Dave King band when playing at Molly Malones.
But, I digress - this is a very solid effort...these guys sound as fresh as they did back in '97 when they were "flogging" Molly Malones. My only question is, when did Bridget become Irish? She sounded like she had an accent when she spoke on the DVD...and she didn't use to. I seem to recall that she's from Detroit or something like that...I hope she's not letting the success go to her head and becoming a poser like Madonna when she put on the British accent after marrying Guy Richie.

O....M...G...
I saw them in Feb at the House of Blues and they sound as good as they do on their albums. This helps you to feel (if you are not able to attend) like your at the show. If your an avid FM fan, buy this CD/DVD. support a Band that does what they want to do, make music, and have fun with their fans! i only hope that one day they are able to just have a huge cd/dvd with EVERY song because there are to many songs that are amazing that don't appear on this album. But this is Definitely an amazing mix of old and new songs by the band. Sunday, May 9th, 2010

Brilliant band, brilliant songs, good craic... too much-ah ah!
Great package of Flogging Molly at their best, performing to their home crowd on two CD's and accompanying DVD. It's a riot of catchy punk and good time Irish folk.
However, having seen them live, i must admit to never having noticed the Dave King-ah vocal-ah tick-ah before. His-ah sing-ah ing-ah experience-ah, doesn't translate-ah... arrgh... quite-ah so well-ah to-ah DV-ah D-ah... He suffers from the James Hetfields (or Whitney Houstons, if you like) and that vocal tick becomes seriously annoying after a while. So much so you'll be tempted to break out the originals before this gets a second airing.
But the quality of songs, even those off the dire 'Float' album (songs from albums one and two are quite obviously better recieved by the crowd), and a bravura performance from all involved manage to outweigh the negatives. It's just too damn catchy!
And props to the guys in the pit. For a similar home experience, blindfold yourself and ask the family to come at you with 2x4's, as if you were a human piƱata. If you have no family just throw yourself in front of the nearest combine harvester*, the feeling is much the same-ah!
*please don't!

Flogging Molly rocks!
This is a great recording of Flogging Molly's current tour set. Lots of energy (as to be expected), good volume, great crowd. Highly recommended! Monday, April 26th, 2010

What a bargain!
This set is truly a bargain- for under $15, not only do you get a full-length concert DVD, but also a double CD of the concert. The concert DVD is very good quality, with a clean, widescreen presentation shot from multiple cameras, and a great Dolby Digital 5.1 score. You can definitely rock the house with this DVD. It also features music videos from 7 or 8 of their songs, although they are all in basic stereo and 4:3 format, and I prefer the more dynamic concert footage. My only complaint stems from having attended a concert in early March- they played more songs at the concert I attended, including Black Friday Rule (with a great one-man acoustic lead-in that gave way to a full-band jam) and Factory Girls. The double CD is pretty much a direct audio rip of the DVD, which is a good thing. Highly recommended, especially for the price. Monday, April 5th, 2010
